Give Thanks
I'm honoring this stage of focusing on fashion. Oh! And I like my legs. Check 'em out! |
I have an idea for Thanksgiving. What if we all gave thanks for the bodies that we occupy? Instead of writing a post about what to wear for Thanksgiving dinner based on trends, personal style, comfort, or even ability to unbutton a top button after the big meal, I'd like to do this.
On Thanksgiving day, I'd like to invite you to consciously dress in a way that honors something about yourself.
If you'd like, let me know what you end up with, either here or via email or on Instagram by using the hashtag #HonoringMe
It is so hard to focus on my POSITIVES, instead of looking at my NEGATIVES! Thanks for the reminder!!!! (-:
ReplyDeleteSo true. It's a journey...and I'm still on it. Happy Thanksgiving!
DeleteOk... so I'll have to think about what to honor, but I first just had to ask... is that your fireplace? To die for... did you paint it - the color is fabulous and the decor - adorable. Right now I just want to be thankful for it - it's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteAnd so are you... love your blog!
Thank you! It is my fireplace, nearly decorated for Christmas in anticipation of a holiday party next week! I mixed chalk paint using Martha Stewart's tutorial (plaster of Paris) and a can of paint from Home Depot. The mantle isn't original to my late 1800s home so I didn't feel TOO guilty painting the wood. You are too sweet! I'm thankful for you reading! Happy Thanksgiving!
