My Personal Styling and Personal Shopping Clients Say

"You gave me permission to be myself. Thank you." -Cecilia from The B Farm
"I decided I would just wear sweats and a t-shirt when I answered the door.  That’s my uniform and I might as well make her face it head on!  Now, honestly, as I was waiting for her to arrive, I started to fear that the meeting would be a total disaster.  She would pick and nag and roll her eyes and rub her temples at what a fashion mess I was.  There was none of that.  At all.  Ever.  Ella immediately set me at ease by asking me to pick out my favorite piece of clothing..."-Marian AKA Miss Mustard Seed
"...We jumped right into looking at what pieces I had.  Learning how to pull my pants up, wear my waist is located, and how to emphasize my hourglass shape, all while laughing and sharing stories with each other.  It felt more like I was hanging out with a good friend than trying to fix my clothing crisis."-Tricia from The Little Cottage on the Pond
"She started where I was comfortable.  Grays, blacks, white, jeans, boots, layers, scarves.  She showed me how to add that extra element to take an outfit from nice to that-girl-is-really-put-together."-Marian AKA Miss Mustard Seed
"It's nice to jazz up my clothes closet without having to spend much money!  I'm really excited to wear the new outfits!" -Erika
"The time FLEW by! Also, you were able to make my most unwearable pieces wearable (too big old lady skirt and grandpa shirt: I'm looking at you!) and make them look good. It's easy to forget good combinations, which is where the pictures come into play. I didn't think my wardrobe is as versatile as you showed me it can be." -Andrea
"My favorite outfit so far is the one we did with the skirt and the flannel, and I would have never thought of it on my own!" -Corrine
"I'm seeing my closet in a whole new way. Seriously, would never have thought of such creative, sophisticated, easy styles!" -Lauren
"It was freeing, funny, and you know what?  I got excited about clothes and dressing up again.  I have outfits people, outfits that I can proudly wear out!  I can't say enough about how easy it was to work with Ella, and what a genius mind the girl has when it comes to analyzing body shape- what patterns, colours, and even shoes/jewelry works well together."-Tricia from The Little Cottage on the Pond
"...If you are at all considering working with Ella--go for it! You have nothing to lose by spending three hours hanging out with someone fun, chatting, and playing dress-up. Since you already own the clothes you might as well get some use out of ALL of them (grandparent era clothing included!)" -Andrea
"When I first thought about working with a stylist, I was a little resistant to it, because it sounded so fancy and uppity.  But, I had the opportunity, so I went for it.  Ella’s approach was so down-to-earth, though.  She’s a big fan of TJ Maxx and Target and Kohl’s.  She wanted to work with everything I had before even mentioning buying something new.  In fact, her entire philosophy is about working with EXTRA-ordinary women…not celebrities and big wigs.  Just regular women who need a little (or a lot of help.)"-Marian AKA Miss Mustard Seed
"In less than three hours, I had a completely new outlook on my wardrobe!  For weeks, maybe even months, I had been wanting to go buy something new, but I waited in anticipation for this styling session.  Ella showed me that I didn't need to go buy that much!  I couldn't believe the outfits she put together!  She helped me get rid of all my "old rules" and learn new ones that actually make sense!  It's interesting and kind of sad how we make false conclusions about ourselves and our bodies.  Ella is so supportive and honest, while at the same time so fun!  In addition to showing me how to enhance my styling techniques, she helped me see myself in a better and truer light.  It was totally worth it, and I do not doubt that I will have her coach me again in the future. Thank you so much Ella!" -Danae

"I always felt like I had tons of clothes but nothing to wear.  I always admired how other people played with color and looked so polished, but never felt that I could manage to get my act together to do it. After I became a mom, add in my complete lack of time to even care. ;) My twins arrival really rocked my world in every imaginable way, and my ENTIRE life changed. I went from managing a team of 11 and a multi-million dollar business to being a spit up rag who never left my house. Now that I'm working from home, it was a good impetus for me to get my act together, fully accept my new  life and start feeling like a whole human again. Our time together was SO wonderful and I learned so much in such a short time. I feel so much better getting dressed each day and my husband has complimented me every day too! Without a doubt, this was the best thing I've done for myself since becoming a mom." -Debbi
For my mother-in-law Natalie's 50th birthday this year I knew I had to do something a little more special and out of the ordinary.  She has always wanted to have a stylist or personal shopper help her pick out clothes - she really hates shopping.  So after I read Miss Mustard Seed's review on Ella, and saw that she would do online consultations, I knew it would be perfect! I had no idea what to expect, and it was a great surpirse both for Natalie and I who got to sit in on the action (and learn a few things too!).  Ella got right to work, having her try on her favorite outfits and things she usually wears to work.  She changed up outfits in completely new ways that looked awesome! Ella was great at giving tips along the way about what to buy to add a little more to the outfits - just great staples to have in your closet.  Ella would be great working with anyone and any style, she was completely confident in her knowledge of fashion and at the same time super easy to talk to and work with. We had a blast, it was a great 3 hours spent on a birthday!  Natalie has been wearing the new outfit combos and getting compliments on them!  She had a great time, we would both highly recommend Ella to anyone and everyone!  -Jenni
