Quick Tip: Pack a Pouch

Quick Tip: Pack a Pouch

This may be something that you're all doing already. But, if you're not carrying a pouch inside your purse, I highly recommend that you do. I know that many of my mama friends do to facilitate switching between diaper bags and purses, but I never thought it was useful for me. Enter this cute little pouch. I have the size medium.

I picked it up on a whim the other day at Le Village Marche, an adorable store, because I found myself, as I often do, carrying my car keys, my flat little wallet (mine is from Target, but this one is way cooler and would make a great gift for a man, too), a few packets of Lactaid (my husband and I were going to the Cheesetique in Shirlington, VA for date night), and my phone. Phew! It seemed like I need a purse, right?

Here's the thing: my purse is always very, very heavy (phone chargers, vitamins, coupon holder, etc), and I hate carrying it. But, I often need something small to carry around the essentials. I could use a clutch, of course, but I hate to ding up a nice clutch by putting it inside my larger purse.

Enter the pouch: it's washable, the interior is waterproof, and it can easily come with me on short trips away from my purse. The best part is, I can keep the essentials in it and then easily switch among purses. Instead of forgetting things in one purse or another, I know that I have them with me because they're in the pouch.

And no, this isn't a sponsored post. I wish it were! I would ask for a pouch to give away to one of you. Anyone out there want to sew one for me to give away? I think it would be gorgeous to make one in oil cloth that would just wipe off at the end of the day. Maybe once I master my zipper skills I'll make one myself...

Maika's canvas buckets were adorable, too, especially for a guest bathroom or even a kid's room. And, I wore these incredibly soft, comfortable harem pants on our date, and I love them. I want to wear them every day. The website image of them is so off, though, that I will be sure to post a better picture of mine so you can see what they're actually like. They're not tight on the legs at all and fit like, well, harem pants! Here's a picture of them that I posted to Instagram before our date of my pattern on pattern on pattern on pattern.
